October 13, 2016 – Joining the bandwagon of rhetoric (which now includes Republican Party defectors), Michelle Obama gave a speech loaded with accusations of sexual assault against Trump and other men in general.

In her overly dramatic speech, claiming that she was “shaken to the core,” Michelle Obama said:

AND I’M SURE THAT MANY OF YOU DO, TOO, PARTICULARLY THE WOMEN. THE SHAMEFUL COMMENTS ABOUT OUR BODY. THE DISRESPECT OF OUR AMBITIONS AND INTELLECT, THE BELIEF THAT YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT TO A WOMAN? IT IS CRUEL. IT IS FRIGHTENING. AND THE TRUTH IS, IT HURTS. IT HURTS. IT’S THAT SICK, SINKING FEELING YOU GET WHEN YOU’RE WALKING DOWN THE STREET, MINDING YOUR OWN BUSINESS, AND SOME GUY YELLS OUT BOLD WORDS ABOUT YOUR BODY. OR WHEN YOU SEE THAT GUY AT WORK THAT STANDS JUST A LITTLE TOO CLOSE, STARES A LITTLE TOO LONG, AND MAKES YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN SKIN.

These generalized and bizarre gripes against men evolved into full out unfounded sexual assault allegations.  “And last week we saw this candidate actually bragging about sexual assaulting women. I can’t believe I’m saying that a candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women.” Sexual assault is a criminal and civil term for non-consensual sexual touching. Although Trump was quoted as saying, “they let me do it,” the media has spun this as sexual assault.

Following these trumped up charges, four women have come out publicly, now claiming that they were “victims” of Trump’s groping. This will likely lead to civil lawsuits against the presidential candidate. (Why didn’t these women not come out earlier if they were “assaulted”?).  With the statute of limitations for sexual assault now eliminated in California and other states, it is likely we will see more and more of these allegations, even decades later.
